The National Bank of Romania (BNR) has risen the inflation forecast from 2.9 to 3 percent at the end of this year and has projected a 3.1 percent level for 2020. Chartered Financial Analysts (CFA) estimated, at the end of 2018, an annual inflation rate of 4.23% in the next 12 months. Romania pledged to join the EURO zone by 2026. Romania's budget for 2019 was endorsed by the government on 08 February 2019, with a one-month delay, and is due to be debated, adjusted and adopted into the parliament by the end of this week.
