epa08904334 A swimmer takes part in the traditional Christmas winter swimming competition in the Vltava river named in memory of Alfred Nikodem in Prague, Czech Republic, 26 December 2020. Enthusiast swimmers every year brave the cold waters of the Vltava river for a swim on 26 December. This year, about 300 swimmers took part in the event in water temperatures of 5.8 degrees Celsius.
