La Bievre is a 34,6 kilometer-long river of the Ile-de-France region that flows into the Seine in Paris. It was the second-long river which ran through the 13th and 5th districts of the city. Because of its pollution, La Bievre has been completely covered in Paris in 1912. Other parts in surrounding towns were covered in the mid-1950s. Recently, Paris Mayor Anne Hidalgo's office has launched a feasibility study to look at uncovering stretches in the French capital.
