Descriere: epa09241765 Children play in the tiny lanes inside the Dharavi slums, in Mumbai, India, 01 June 2021. There has been no surge in Covid-19 cases in Mumbai’s densely populated Dharavi, a slum of at least 850,000 people with a population density of 354,167 per square km, during the second wave of the pandemic because of the high prevalence of antibodies from natural infections among residents, said a research paper published recently in European Journal of Medical and Health Sciences. Several migrant workers left to their home town during the lockdown in the second wave of the pandemic and till date have not returned back in the city. The workshops are closed and those operating after some ease in the restriction have very few labors. There was a silence in the tiny lanes which usually had lot of noise because of the machines. India registered on 01 June 2,795 coronavirus deaths in the last 24 hours, the first time in 34 days that the figure went below 3,000, and 127.510 contagions. EPA/DIVYAKANT SOLANKI
