According to reports Pfizer is using cold storage at its distribution site in Pleasant Plains to hold the Covid-19 vaccine while awaiting approval from the Federal Drug Administration of a Emergency Use Authorization request. The FDA is scheduled to take up the request 10 December 2020. A federal advisory group is to make recommendations 01 December on the order of distribution with health care workers and long term care facilities resident expected to be the first to receive the vaccine once it is approved.
