According to a 27 June advisory from the regional government, petroleum agencies have been asked 'to ensure sufficient stocks of LPG in the valley as their supply gets affected due to closure of the Srinagar-Jammu highway on account of frequent landslides'. In another order, Indian Police requested the regional administration to make available 16 educational institutes in the central Kashmir district for the accommodation facilities of the Indian troops and paramilitary forces. The two back-to-back orders have come amid the Sino-India faceoff along the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in Ladakh. EPA/FAROOQ KHAN
