Descriere: epa08158129 Sri Lankan airport officials stand next to thermal scanner monitor screens showing passengers temperature at the Bandaranaike International Airport in Colombo, Sri Lanka, 24 January 2020. Sri Lankan health authorities took preemptive measures to prevent the spread of coronavirus in the island through infected visitors and installed elevated body temperature screening machines at country's airports and seaports. According to media reports, Chinese authorities have urged people to stop travelling in and out of Wuhan, the city at the center of the new virus outbreak that has killed over 17 people. Earlier this week, China also confirmed that human-to-human transmission of the virus had taken place. Sri Lanka is yet to report any cases but all possible precautionary measures are currently in place, according to health authorities. EPA/CHAMILA KARUNARATHNE
