The 2,100-year-old smuggled coffin of the ancient Egyptian priest Nedjemankh was displayed on 01 October for the first time at the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization following its return from the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York after it was determined to be a stolen piece of antiquity. The coffin was reportedly smuggled during the 2011 unrest events in Egypt and displayed in the Metropolitan Museum of Art since 2017. EPA/KHALED ELFIQI
