Descriere: epa09098340 The general headquarters of the Chin National Army (CNA), located in Myanmar close to the borderline with India on the banks of River Tiau, is seen from the Indian side of the border on 20 March 2021 (issued 26 March 2021). The CNA is an armed wing of the Chin National Front, a political organization in Myanmar, that since 1988 has gone underground fighting for the cause of the Chin people. They help and host refugees for two weeks before they continue their escape to neighboring India to where many people from Myanmar have fled after the February 2021 military coup. Against all orders by the Indian government, villagers along the border and members of the Young Mizo Association (YMA), a non-governmental organization of India's northeastern state of Mizoram, are playing the role of a 'Good Samaritan' by sheltering Myanmarese seeking refuge in India. Among the refugees are many firemen and police personnel, who defied the army's forcefully order to stop the civil disobedience movement (CDM) protest across the Chin Hills state of Myanmar.
