Descriere: epa08827266 Passengers wearing face masks on a train in New Taipei City, Taiwan, 18 November 2020. Taiwan's health ministry tightened Covid-19 prevention measures to prevent winter outbreak. The measures, to take effect on 01 December, include mandatory face masks in hospitals, restaurants, art galleries, religious venues and other places, demanding negative test result from all people entering Taiwan, including Taiwanese, slapping a maximum 15,000 Taiwan dollar (about 500 US dollar) fine on people who refuse to wear face masks, giving bonus to hospitals which conduct tight Covid-19 screening on inpatients. Taiwan has reported only about 600 Covid-19 infection cases, mostly imported, with seven deaths, but is concerned about the global Covid-19 situation and almost daily report of imported infection cases.
