Indian Police used water cannons (purple water) and detained over a dozen employees. The employees were trying to march toward Raj Bhawan, the official summer residence of Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir Union Territory. The employees were demanding the following: regularization of Minimum Wage Act; regularization of land donors; release of pending wages, immediate release of salaries and provide job to a family member of the employee who was killed in the line of duty.
